Mandate
To develop strategies to ensure the five First Nations and ATC have the capacity and capability for effective environmental consultation and participation.
To participate effectively in multi-stakeholder regional environmental management systems and initiatives.
 
Responsibilities

Consultation - within communities, with ATC, with proponents, with governments, and inter-community

Research and Monitoring of field work, and recruitment and coordination of field workers. Ensure the use of Traditional Enviromental Knowledge and provide input in research and monitoring needs of communities.

Relationship Building - Facilitate meetings between proponents and community based interest groups, address issues on an on-going basis. Develop enviromental strategies and action plans in concert with proponents, community leaders and stakeholder. Communicate regularly and effectively with communities about resource development.
